End User Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
b.world is owned and offered by threshold.world, a technology company that supports social impact organizations around the world. threshold.world deeply values b.world Users and their privacy. The b.world Privacy Policy is an extension of our Core Values at threshold.world; in everything we do, we aim to Put People First and Uphold Trust and Transparency.
We refer to “Customers” as the organizations, entities, or persons that enter a contractual agreement with threshold.world to establish a b.world Customer Account (also referred to as a “Team” in b.world). The Customer may then invite or authorize other individuals (such as colleagues and team members) to register as Users of the Customer Account. Per this Policy, “Users” are any natural persons (i.e. living human beings) registered to use b.world.
The b.world Privacy Policy is a legally binding agreement between threshold.world and b.world Users. This Policy applies to Users’ personal information (PI) - i.e. information that alone or when combined with other information can identify an individual User [1] . By clicking the “I accept” checkbox in the user registration process, you are confirming that you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy.
b.world Customers enter a separate “ Customer Agreement” with threshold.world. The Customer Agreement specifies the terms under which b.world is accessed and used, and how content created in b.world is managed. A Customer’s “Account Administrator” (the individual/s managing the b.world subscription Agreement with threshold.world) may control specific settings that affect how Users interact with b.world; for example, your Administrator may determine who can assign other users tasks and if b.world sends assignees automated email alerts. If you have questions regarding specific privacy or other settings within your b.world Team, please contact your Account Administrator.
threshold.world’s headquarters are in the United States and b.world uses Microsoft Azure cloud-based services, with servers located in the United States.
2. Personal Information We Collect
We collect limited personal information about Users in four ways: directly through the user registration process; through correspondence with Users; from third parties; and through automatically generated data.
Personal information we collect from Users is protected under applicable data protection laws. Personal information does NOT include anonymized data or aggregated data. For example, the Privacy Policy does not apply to aggregate usage statistics such as the average amount of time users across b.world take to complete specific tasks in the platform.
2.1 Personal Information we Directly Collect
threshold.world directly collects the following PI from Users through the registration process:
- User email address
- User display name
2.2 Information Collected Through Correspondence With Users
When b.world Users reach out to threshold.world, their contact and other information may be collected to verify an account, ensure support requests are resolved, track the quality of our customer care, respond to feedback, etc. PI collected may include:
- Name
- Organization
- Job Role/Title
- Email address
- Phone number
2.3 Information Collected from Third Parties
threshold.world provides Users the option to log into b.world through third-party log-in credentials (i.e. through a Microsoft or Google account). If you choose to log-in through a third-party account, we will collect your email address associated with that account. The third party may collect data from you when you sign in using their credentials. Please refer to the terms of our respective social login providers for further guidance:

2.4 Automatically Generated Data
Various user data/metadata (e.g. IP address, user operating system and device type, etc.) may be automatically generated when Users interact with b.world. This data may be processed in order to conduct key business functions, improve b.world functionality, and manage system security.
3. Why & How we Use Your Personal Information
We use the personal information described above to perform necessary business functions, provide our Users services, and for additional purposes, such as:
- To register Users and manage accounts
- To improve the user experience
- To receive User feedback and respond to Customer Support requests
- To directly alert Users about system maintenance and other updates
- To improve system functionality
- To monitor system security and to prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- To comply with relevant laws and regulations
threshold.world does not collect b.world User PI for the purposes of marketing third party services or products. Users can opt-in to receive threshold.world marketing alerts.
4. How, Why, and With Whom we Share Personal Information
threshold.world values the humanity behind each piece of personal information we collect. We do not sell or otherwise monetize Users’ personal information or share PI with third parties for advertising purposes.
We may share your information with third parties in order to:
- Execute necessary business functions, maintain b.world operations, and provide Users key services
- Provide key business functions through third party vendors
- Ensure regulatory and legal compliance
- Respond to and assist investigations of fraud, illegal activity, etc.
- Enforce Customer Agreements or respond to legal claims
In some cases, threshold.world contracts third party vendors to perform key functions on our behalf. In such cases, it may be necessary to share b.world User information:
- In order to process Customer b.world subscription payments, an email address and display name is shared with Braintree, a third party payment processor. Braintree’s privacy policy can be found here: https://www.braintreepayments.com/legal/braintree-privacy-policy
- We send email communications with registered b.world Users through Twilio SendGrid; the email address you register with b.world is shared with Twilio SendGrid in order to do so. Please see Twilio ‘s privacy policy here: https://www.twilio.com/legal/privacy
5. Your Rights to Access, Update, and Control your Personal Information
threshold.world is committed to managing Users’ personal information transparently, responsibly, and in compliance with applicable data privacy regulations. b.world Users can contact us at Info@threshold.world to verify, review, or make other requests related to their personal information.
6. Protecting Your Personal Information
threshold.world takes seriously the responsibility to honor your trust by protecting your information. We choose to design for privacy, and to collect only that information that is necessary to responsibly and effectively provide services to our Users.

We take also make ongoing investments to equip our team to identify, prevent, and respond to data security incidents. In the case of a data breach, threshold.world will respond immediately and in accordance with the internal threshold.world Data Breach Response Protocol. We will comply with all applicable US and international data privacy regulations related to managing and disclosing breaches of personal information.
7. Children and b.world
b.world is not intended or marketed to be used by children and you must not use b.world if you are under 13. Users must be old enough to consent to the processing of their personal information, as guided by their country’s applicable regulations. By registering for b.world, you are hereby confirming that you are at least 13 years old and are old enough per your country’s applicable regulations to consent to the processing of your personal information (some countries allow guardians/parents to provide consent on a minor’s behalf).
8. Privacy Policy Updates
threshold.world may update the Privacy Policy as b.world evolves alongside an ever-adapting industry, digital, and security landscape. Any material changes will be communicated directly to Users through email notifications. Your continued use of b.world confirms your acceptance of changes to the Privacy Policy.
